Wiseacre Memphis Wrestling Mural

Wiseacre Brewing already had a very cool mural that I called Southern Devastators up for some time. Now the same artist Nosey42 has put up a new collaboration with Birdcap celebrating the storied history of Memphis wrestling. It features Jerry "The King" Lawler vs Andre The Giant. Andy Kaufman and the Mid-South Coliseum are thrown in as good measure. It is my understanding that these murals will be rotated out once a year or so so you will have plenty of time to come check it out. As always you can check out more Memphis street art at my Memphis Street Art Page on Flickr.

The Murals at Binghampton Community Life Center

Tillman Street is one of the streets I take when I am commuting by bicycle. It's how I get to Broad Avenue (and then to Midtown or Downtown) after The Greenline ends. On this street is the Binghampton Community Life Center. The basketball courts there have recently got a new coat of mural paint thanks to the Memphis Grizzlies and artist Nosey42. I've been wanting to photograph these new murals for quite sometime. Since it was a gorgeous day to ride and I had my camera with me (and the now-essential fisheye lens) I stopped by and took some shots. You can find more of Nosey's work at his Instagram.
